A414 Three Mile Hill and A414 London Road) (AA National Flower Show Event) (Special Events) (Temporary 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the above Order to facilitate the AA National Flower Show Event at Hylands Park Estate. Effect of the order: To introduce: a ‘Temporary 30mph Speed Limit’ Restriction on the following length of road in the Parishes of Margaretting, and Writtle, in the City of Chelmsford (currently National Speed Limit):
Road - Description
A414 Three Mile Hill/A414 London Road. Northbound carriageway - From its junction with the roundabout known as Webb’s Farm roundabout generally north-eastwards for approximately 2000 metres.
The Temporary 30mph Speed Limit is scheduled to take place from 07:00 on the 17 May 2024 to 19:00 on the 19 May 2024, or where appropriate signs are showing, and weather permitting and is required for the safety of visitors and other road users whilst the AA National Flower Show Event at Hylands Park Estate takes place.
Speed Enforcement cameras may be operating within the restricted lengths of road as specified.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 17 May 2024 and may continue in force for 3 days unless extended by the Secretary of State.
(Downham Road, West Hanningfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Downham Road, West Hanningfield in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Stock Road to its junction with Lower Stock Road a distance of approximately 620m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th June 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30086000261 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cable installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Downham Road, Stock Road, High Street, Stock Road Roundabout, Laindon Road, Noak Hill Road Roundabout, Noak Hill Road, Bell Hill Roundabout, Southend Road, Sun Street, Crays Hill, London Road, Church Road, Dowsett Lane, Seamans Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order (No.11) 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of road in the City of Colchester as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway in that length of road in the schedule for the duration of the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 23rd May 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

(Gaston Hill, Little Hallingbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Gaston Hill, Little Hallingbury in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Old Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 150m in a south westerly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th June 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30036468452 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree cutting works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Station Road, Hatfield Heath Road, Sawbridgeworth Road, Stortford Road, Lower Road and vice versa (with access only into Gaston Hill, Sawbridgeworth Road and Hallingbury Road).
The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Langdale Gardens, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Langdale Gardens, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 100m south east of its junction Princes Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th May 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFGK0K1C – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Parsonage Lane, Howe Street) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Parsonage Lane, Howe Street in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 45m north west of its junction of Hyde Hall Lane to its junction with Lucks Lane a distance of approximately 240m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th May 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231010594 – GMT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree maintenance works are undertaken by GMT.
An alternative route is available via Chatham Hall Lane, Braintree Road, Main Road, Chelmsford Road, The Village, Main Road, Parsonage Lane and vice versa.

(Springfield Road/Navigation Road, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Springfield Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Tesco Service Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a north easterly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Navigation Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Springfield Road to its junction with Wharf Road a distance of approximately 85m.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 27th May 2024 for 21 nights (20:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231010233/4 – GTM). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while junction construction works are undertaken by GTM.
An alternative route is available via:

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the City of Chelmsford as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on those lengths of roads specified in the schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Chelmsford City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only.
