Mill Street, Temporary Road Closure Due To Sewer Repair Works
What is happening?
The County Council of Durham (Mill Street, Delves Lane, Consett) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024
The Council on 8/5/2024 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 10 metre length of Mill Street, Delves Lane, Consett to the rear of no. 24 Mill Street/24 Grange Street to enable Sewer repair works to be undertaken.
Throughout the period of closure, a diversion will be available to vehicular traffic via Lea Side.
The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence from 8am on Monday 20/5/2024 and are anticipated to be completed in 5 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
