ESSENTIAL GAS MAIN REPLACEMENT

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below to control traffic.

WHERE & WHAT:

Lindsay Road, Poole - road closed to all vehicles from its junction with Leicester Road to its junction with St Aldhelms Road - no parking, no waiting, no loading/unloading at any time. Mandatory cycle lanes closed to all cyclists and all other vehicles from its junction with Leicester Road to opposite Ventry Close.

DIVERSION: remainder of Lindsay Road, County Gates Gyratory, The Avenue, Pinecliff Road, Western Road, Canford Cliffs Road

• St Aldhelms Road, Poole - Cycle Lanes closed to all cyclists on the eastern side of the road from the northern junction of Lindsay Road to its junction with Poole Road. Parking suspended in St Aldhelms Road from the southern junction of Lindsay Road - no parking, no waiting, no loading/unloading for approx. 22 metres.

Penn Hill Avenue/Leicester Road, Poole - cycle lane closed to all cyclists from approximately No. 125 Penn Hill Avenue to the junction with Leicester Road for safety and to accommodate a lane closure.

WHEN: Anticipated dates: Tuesday 28 May up to and including Monday 10 June 2024.

WHY: To facilitate essential gas mains replacement on behalf of SGN.

ACCESS: Full Emergency Service access will be maintained. Access for residents maintained depending on site safety.

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.

The Council regrets any inconvenience caused by this Traffic Order.
