What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS SALT LANE AND LITTLE PARK STREET, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on the said roads as detailed in the Schedule.

The Order will come into effect at 00.01 hours on Sunday 19th May 2024 and is required to allow Coventry City Council to carry out Highway improvement works.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Wednesday 29th May 2024.

Schedule
Phase 1 – 19th May and Phase 2 – 28th-29th May
• Salt Lane closed from its junction with Little Park Street to outside the rear of no 9 Little Park Street. Approx 100m.
• Little Park Street closed from its junction with St Johns Street to its junction with High Street.
• Little Park Street Closed North Bound only from its junction with New Union Street to its junction with St Johns Street.
• Salt Lane to allow two-way traffic from its junction with Greyfriars Lane to the rear of 9 Little Park Street.
• Greyfriars Lane one way to be reversed from its junction with Barracks Way to its junction with Salt Lane
• No left turn from Salt Lane onto Greyfriars Lane.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said
works;
(d) local vehicular access to the said roads.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS HERMITS CROFT, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Hermits Croft for its full length.

The Order will come into effect at 00.01 hours on Monday 20th May 2024 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to renew connections safely on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Thursday 30th May 2024.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police
constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to Hermits Croft

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS THE FIRS, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on The Firs from outside number 28 and continuing to a point outside number 5 The Firs.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Tuesday 28th May 2024 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to renew water connections safely on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 31st May 2024.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to The Firs

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS HUNTINGTON ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Huntingdon Road from outside number 67 to number 81 Huntingdon Road.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Tuesday 28th May 2024 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out water connection renewals safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Thursday 6th June 2024.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to Huntington Road

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS WALL HILL ROAD, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding on Wall Hill Road. The Order would come into effect at 08.00 hours on 29th May 2024 and is required to facilitate the safe installation of new water connections. The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site. Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site. Exemptions would be provided for any vehicle being used in connection with the works, emergency service vehicles, any person upon the direction of or with the permission of a police officer in uniform and local vehicular access Wall Hill Road. Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction and access through the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure. NOTICE OF MAKING A45 (BIRMINGHAM ROAD) & PICKFORD GREEN LANE AREA WAITING RESTRICTIONS

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the following Traffic Regulation Orders (“the Orders”), which come into operation on 17th May 2024. The Orders are required as part of the infrastructure changes to facilitate new residential developments in the area and to address residents’ concerns relating to non-residents parking on Pickford Green Lane.

Certain lengths of road referred to in this notice created as part of the infrastructure works are not yet named. The plan below sets out the highway layout and should be referred to when considering the details of the Orders. The effect of the Orders are:

i) City of Coventry (Pickford Green Lane Area) (Waiting Restrictions) Order 2024

The effect of this order is to introduce the following waiting restrictions

Brick Hill Lane

Prohibition of waiting (double yellow lines), in the turning area opposite 1 Brick Hill Lane

Pickford Green Lane

Prohibition of waiting (double yellow lines), both sides of the road, from a point 130m southwest of its cul de sac end, up to and including its cul de sac.

Pickford Green Lane

Prohibition of waiting, Monday to Friday, 9am-11am and 2pm-4pm, both sides of the road, from a point 130m southwest of its cul de sac end, to its junction with Pickford Grange Road

Development Road 2,

Development Road 3

Prohibition of waiting (double yellow lines), both sides of the road, whole length

ii) City of Coventry (A45 Birmingham Road, Slip Roads) (Waiting
Restrictions) Order 2024

The effect of this order is to introduce the following waiting restrictions:

 

A45 Birmingham Road eastbound off slip road

Prohibition of waiting (double yellow lines), both sides of the road, whole length

A45 Birmingham Road eastbound on slip road

Prohibition of waiting (double yellow lines), both sides of the road, whole length

A45 Birmingham Road westbound on slip road

Prohibition of waiting (double yellow lines), both sides of the road, whole length

A45 Birmingham Road eastbound off slip road

Prohibition of waiting (double yellow lines), both sides of the road, whole length

The restrictions imposed by the Order are required to address potential safety and traffic management issues relating to inconsiderate parking affecting visibility and traffic flows. The restrictions on Pickford Green Lane will assist to prevent existing non-resident parking (commuter parking), a concern raised by local residents.

A copy of this Notice, the sealed Orders, plan and Statement of Reasons may be inspected on the Council’s website at www.coventry.gov.uk/tro and at Council House Reception, Earl Street, Coventry during normal office hours.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder, or of any relevant Act, has not been complied with may, within six (6) weeks from today, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

The Plan referred to TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS FIVEFIELD ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order. The effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles entering or proceeding on that part of Fivefield Road commencing at a point 300 metres north west direction of its junction with Bennetts Road and proceeding to a point 300 metres west of that junction. A distance of 1300 metres or thereabouts to junction B4098. The Order would come into effect at 09.30 hours on Tuesday 28th May 2024 and is required to facilitate drainage installation works being undertaken safely. The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site. Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.

The Order would remain in effect for 18 months but it is envisaged the works will be completed by 18.00 hours on 23rd June 2024 and that the Order will cease to have effect at that time. Exemptions would be provided for any vehicle being used in connection with the works, emergency service vehicles, any person upon the direction of or with the permission of a police officer in uniform and local vehicular access the restricted section of Fivefield Road. Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction and access through the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS VARIOUS ROADS, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of which would be to prohibit waiting, loading and unloading, entering or proceeding of any vehicle on the entire lengths of road specified in The Schedule below when prescribed signs are displayed. The roads would be closed or restricted on a number of occasions for the various durations. The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on 28 May 2024 and is required for carriageway resurfacing works and associated works to be undertaken safely. Diversion routes would be sign posted where appropriate and access to premises maintained wherever possible except when works is directly in front of a property. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is envisaged that the works would be completed by 31 October 2024.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of said works;
(b) emergency service vehicles;
(c) any persons requiring reasonable vehicular access or egress to
properties on the closed section of road.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS BRAYS LANE, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Brays Lane between its junctions with Ethelfield Road and St Agatha’s Road.

The Order would come into effect from 08:00 hours on Tuesday 28th May 2024 and is required to facilitate communication pipe repair works on the highway to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 18:00 hours on Friday 31st May 2024. The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site. Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works

(d) local vehicular access to Brays Lane

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
