TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON SHEPHERD STREET, DERBY
WHEN: 19 May 2024 WHERE: Shepherd Street, from No 3 for a distance of approximately 40 metres. REASON: Telecom works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Burton Road – Old Hall Road – Church Street – Shepherd Street and the same in the opposite direction Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER ON OLD STREET, DERBY
WHEN: 3 June 2024 to 3 December 2025 WHERE: Old Lane, from its junction with Darley Street to opposite number 19 – a distance of approximately 40 metres REASON: Bridge works
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will be re-opened as soon as the work is finished. Anyone needing further information should ring Brendan Horgan on (01332) 641824 or email traffic.management@ derby.gov.uk

Derby City Council (Thorpelands Drive Area) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.140) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Derby City Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers in that behalf.
The purpose of the Order will be to introduce:
No Waiting (Mon-Fri 8am-4pm 1 Sept to 30 June)
• Thorpelands Drive at its junction with Carsington Crescent.
Permit Holders Only (Mon-Fri 8am-4pm 1 Sept to 30 June)
• Thorpelands Drive in its entirety from the proposed No Waiting restriction.
• Carsington Mews in its entirety.
• Wessington Mews in its entirety.
A copy of the proposed Order together with maps which show the definitive extents of the proposal, a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for proposing the Order and the Order being amended, may be inspected online at https://www.derby.gov.uk/tro Objections to the proposal stating your grounds of objection should be sent, in writing, to Traffic & Transportation, Communities and Place, Derby City Council, The Council House, Corporation Street, Derby, DE1 2FS or by email to traffic.management@derby.gov.uk to be received no later than 7th June 2024.
