A30 Trunk Road - Impose A Mandatory 50 Mph Speed Limit For Maintenance Works

What is happening?

THE A30 TRUNK ROAD (LAUNCESTON)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) has made an Order on the A30 trunk road in the County of Cornwall to allow cable and associated maintenance works to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to take place over one night (21.00 to 06.00) commencing on or after 21 May 2024.

The effect of the Order will be:

(a) to impose a mandatory 50 mph speed limit on the A30:

(i) eastbound for 1800 metres from 400 metres east of the eastbound entry slip road at Kennards House Junction;

(ii) westbound for 3000 metres from 260 metres west of Bulsworthy Farm Overbridge;

(b) to impose a mandatory 10 mph speed limit on the A30 eastbound and westbound between 100 metres west of the eastbound entry slip road at Trebursye Junction and 350 metres west of the westbound entry slip road at Pennygillam Junction; whilst convoy working is taking place;

The speed limits (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles) will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works.

The Order will come into force on 19 May 2024 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
