The effect of the Order would be to:-

(a) the London-bound carriageway of the A2 between points 670 metres and 170 metres south-east of the eastern overbridge at Dartford Heath Interchange (A2018); and

(b) the London-bound carriageway of the A2 between a point 325 metres west of the overbridge at Heath Lane (Upper) and the TfL boundary;
(c) the slip road leading to the London-bound carriageway of the A2 at Dartford Heath Interchange (A2018), between a point 40 metres north-west of the diverge with the roundabout and the merge with the main carriageway; and
(d) the slip road leading from the London-bound carriageway of the A2 at Dartford Heath Interchange (A2018).

These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake barrier works on the TfL network and all associated works. It is expected that the work would last for approximately 5 months starting on or after Monday 17th June 2024.

The Order would come into force on 15th June 2024 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.

The temporary speed restrictions would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when it is in operation during the works period.
