Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

THANET AREA

A28 Canterbury Road, Margate, CT9 5AT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A28 Canterbury Road, Margate, on or after 11th June 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Garfield Road, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A28 Marine Terrace, A254 Belgrave Road, A254 Eaton Road, A255 Grosvenor Gardens, A255 High Street, A255 St Peters Road, B2052 College Road, B2052 Hartsdown Road, B2052 George V Avenue and A28 Canterbury Road.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, B2052 George V Avenue, B2052 Hartsdown Road, Tivoli Road, Beatrice Road, B2052 College Road, A255 St Peters Road, A255 Ramsgate Road, A254 Queens Avenue, A254 Eaton Road and A28 Marine Terrace.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

A255 St Peters Road, Broadstairs, CT10 2AR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A255 St Peters Road, Broadstairs, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Edge End Road and Gladstone Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Broadstairs Road, Fairfield Road, Bromstone Road, A255 Ramsgate Road, A255 Queens Road, A255 High Street, A255 St Peters Road and vice versa.

 

B2014 Newington Road, Ramsgate, CT11 0BS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2014 Newington Road, Ramsgate, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with A255 High Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 High Street, A255 Nethercourt Hill, A255 Nethercourt Circus, A255 Canterbury Road East, A256 Canterbury Road West, A256 Haine Road, B2050 Manston Road, B2014 Newington Road and vice versa.

 

B2050 Park Lane, Birchington, CT7 0AP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2050 Park Lane, Birchington, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 63, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2050 Park Lane, A28 The Square, A28 Canterbury Road, Minster Road, Shottendane Road, B2050 Manston Road and vice versa.

 

Addington Street, Ramsgate, CT11 9JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Addington Street, Ramsgate, on or after 31st May 2024 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Albert Street and Hertford Place, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The one-way Order between the junctions of Nelson Crescent and Hertford Place will be suspended to allow access, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Albert Street, Liverpool Lawn, Prospect Terrace, Nelson Crescent, Addington Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Bairds Hill, Broadstairs, CT10 2UX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bairds Hill, Broadstairs, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 3, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2053 Albion Road, B2053 Church Street, B2053 Beacon Road, Beacon Road, Grange Road, Callis Court Road and vice versa.

 

Belvedere Road, Broadstairs, CT10 1PA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Belvedere Road, Broadstairs, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of B2052 High Street and Dundonald Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Belvedere Road, York Avenue, A255 Queens Road, B2052 High Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Canterbury Close, Broadstairs, CT10 2SQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Canterbury Close, Broadstairs, on or after 10th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 12, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

 

Chandos Road, Broadstairs, CT10 1PA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chandos Road, Broadstairs, on or after 29th May 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed as a rolling closure in 2 phases.

Phase 1 - Chandos Road will be closed between the junctions of Oscar Road and Chandos Square, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Oscar Road, Victoria Parade, Chandos Square and vice versa.

Phase 2 - Chandos Road will be closed between the junctions of B2052 York Street and Chandos Square, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chandos Square, Vicotria Parade, John Street, B2052 York Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Church Road & B2052 Nelson Place, Broadstairs, CT10 1NE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road & B2052 Nelson Place, Broadstairs, on or after 10th June 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

Church Road will be closed from number 1 to the junction of Shutler Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Road, Shutler Road, Rectory Road, B2052 Nelson Place and vice versa.

B2052 Nelson Place will be closed between the junctions of Church Road and Rectory Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2052 Nelson Place, Crow Hill, Lindenthorpe Road, Carlton Avenue, A255 High Street, B2052 High Street, B2052 Albion Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Cottington Road, Cliffsend, CT12 5LF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cottington Road, Cliffsend, on or after 12th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 16, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cottington Road, Cottington Link, A299 Hengist Way, Canterbury Road West, Foads Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Dane Hill, Margate, CT9 1SE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dane Hill, Margate, on or after 10th June 2024 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Dane Hill Row and Clifton Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via B2055 Northdown Road, B2055 Trinity Square, King Street and Dane Hill.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Dane Hill, Dane Hill Row, Bath Road, Dane Road, King Street, B2055 Trinity Square and B2055 Northdown Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Dane Road, Birchington, CT7 9PH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dane Road, Birchington, on or after 12th June 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from number 2 to the junction of Old Farm Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dane Road, Minnis Road, The Parade, Canute Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Grange Road, Ramsgate, CT11 9LS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grange Road, Ramsgate, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Mill Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grange Road, B2054 London Road, A255 Nethercourt Circus, A255 Nethercourt Hill, A255 High Street, Ellington Place and vice versa.

 

Holly Lane, Margate, CT9 3BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Holly Lane, Margate, on or after 14th June 2024 for up to 22 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Northdown Road and Old Green Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Holly Lane, Foreland Avenue, Northdown Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

King Edward Avenue, Broadstairs, CT10 2DR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of King Edward Avenue, Broadstairs, on or after 13th June 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from 23A to number 9, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via King Edward Avenue, Pierremont Avenue, A255 Queens Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Marsh Farm Road, Ramsgate, CT12 4BZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow railway works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Marsh Farm Road, Ramsgate, on or after 2nd June 2024 for up to 12 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Minster Road, Birchington, CT7 0HW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow roadworks to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Minster Road, Birchington, on or after 31st May 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from number 12 to Oast Cottages, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Margate Hill, B2050 Manston Road, B2190 Spitfire Way, B2190 Un-named Road From Minster Road To Columbus Avenue, Minster Road and vice versa.

 

Newlands Road, Ramsgate, CT12 6SY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Newlands Road, Ramsgate, on or after 10th June 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of A254 Margate Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Woodford Avenue, A254 Margate Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Queen Bertha Road, Ramsgate, CT11 0EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Queen Bertha Road, Ramsgate, on or after 10th June 2024 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 68, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Queen Bertha Road, St Mildreds Road, Grange Road, Southwood Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Shottendane Road, Margate, CT9 4BY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shottendane Road, Margate, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Manston Road and B2052 Hartsdown Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Shottendane Road, High Street, A28 Canterbury Road, B2052 George V Avenue, B2052 Hartsdown Road and vice versa.

 

South Eastern Road, Ramsgate, CT11 0AE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of South Eastern Road, Ramsgate, on or after 10th June 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Grange Road and Crescent Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grange Road, Crescent Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
