What is happening?

Cowick Street, Exeter - Bus Lane & Control of Waiting Proposals

Devon County Council propose to make these under the Road Trafc Regulation Act 1984 for Exeter: Devon County Council (Cowick Street, Exeter) (Control of Waiting) Amendment Order to introduce on specifed lengths of Cowick Street: NO WAITING AT ANY TIME, NO WAITING MON-SAT 7AM-10AM/4PM-7PM, NO LOADING MON-SAT 7AM-10AM/4PM-7PM. NO LOADING MON-SAT 7AM-7PM, LIMITED WAITING MON-SAT 10AM-4PM 30 MINS NO RETURN 1 HOUR, LIMITED WAITING MON-SAT 7AM-7PM 30 MINS NO RETURN 1 HOUR, LOADING ONLY MON-SAT MIDNIGHT-7AM/10AM-4PM/7PM-MIDNIGHT/SUN AT ANY TIME. 

Where appropriate there will be the usual exemptions including those in relation to picking up/setting down passengers, loading/unloading goods & disabled persons vehicles; Devon County Council (Cowick Street, Exeter) (Bus Lane) Amendment Order to amend the existing bus lane to BUS LANE (WITH CYCLES & AUTHORISED VEHICLES) MON-SAT 7AM-10AM/4PM-7PM on a specifed length of Cowick Street. Draft orders, orders being amended, plans & statement of reasons may be seen at devon.cc/tro. Free bookable computer use is available during the opening hours of Devon Libraries. Documents are also available to view during normal ofce hours at the address below. Objections & other comments specifying the proposal & the grounds on which they are made must be in writing to the address below or via devon.cc/tro to arrive by 7 June 2024. Receipt of submissions may not be acknowledged but those received will be considered. If you make a submission be aware that comments will be anonymised prior to being sent to Highways & Trafc Orders Committee (HATOC) members for consideration or being published on our website. Data may be shared within the Council & with our partner agencies.
