Waltham Forest, Multiple Roads, Temporary Prohibitions & Restrictions

What is happening?

London Borough Of Waltham Forest

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) The Waltham Forest (Footway Renewal Works) (Forest Road E17) (Temporary Restrictions) (No.1) Order 2024

The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to allow for footway renewal works, in association with the development of site 458 Forest Road E17, to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner. The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed or, where applicable, covered, to -

(a) prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading, for any purpose, "at any time" in Gaywood Road E17 - between its junction with Forest Road and the common boundary of Nos.28/30;

(b) suspend the coach parking bay outside 458 Forest Road E17, prohibiting vehicles from waiting or loading for any purpose, "at any time";

(c) prohibit vehicles from waiting or loading for any purpose at any time in Forest Road E17 (south side) - between its junction with Hoe Street and the common boundary of Nos. 446/448

(d) prohibit vehicles from waiting or loading in the short-stay parking bay, outside Nos 448 to 456a Forest Road E17, Monday-Sunday 8am-6.30pm;

(e) suspend the prohibited access area to vehicular traffic outside No. 1 Gaywood Road E17; and

(f) prohibit vehicles from waiting or loading for any purpose at any time in Gaywood Road E17 -between its junction with Hoe Street and the common boundary of Nos. 1/3.

The Order would come into operation on 23rd May 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. (Ref: TT30(24))

The Waltham Forest (Cadent Gas Mains Replacement) (Boundary Avenue E17) (Temporary Measures) (No. 1) Order 2024

The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to allow for the replacement of the gas mains to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner by Cadent Gas.

The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at any time in Boundary Avenue E17 - between its junctions with Boundary Road and Farmillo Road. The Order would come into operation on 3rd June 2024 and would be valid for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 21 days, but additional time is required for contingencies. (Ref: TT31(24))

The Waltham Forest (Thames Water Pipe Installation) (Temporary Measures) (No. 1) Order 2024

The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to enable Thames Water pipe installation works to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in Stanley Road E4.

The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at any time n Stanley Road E4 - between the common boundaries of Nos. 53/55 and of Nos. 63/65 Designated controlled parking space situated in any road or part of road affected by the measures set out in the paragraph above will be suspended.

The Order would come into operation on 10th June 2024 and would be valid for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.10th June 2024

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 4 days, however, the Order has been extended to allow for any contingencies. (Ref: TT32(24))

The Waltham Forest (Thames Water Repairs And Maintenance) (Various Roads) (Temporary Measures) (No. 2) Order 2024

The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to allow for repair and maintenance works, by Thames Water, to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in various roads within the said borough.

The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at any time, in

(i) Albert Road E17 - between its junctions with Edinburgh Road and with Helena Road;

(ii) Wallwood Road E11 (WWR) - between the common boundaries of Nos. 50/52 and of Nos. 56/58; and

(iii) Queens Road E11 - between its junction with WWR and a point 5 metres from the said junction Whilst the order is in operation in Albert Road E17 and only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, no person shall permit or cause any vehicle to wait or load in Edinburgh Road E17 (EHR) - (east side) between the common boundaries of Nos. 34/36 EHR and Nos. 54/56 EHR. Designated controlled parking space situated in any road or part of road affected by the measures set out in paragraphs 2 and 3 above will be suspended.

Edinburgh Road E17 (EHR)

The Order would come into operation on 10th June 2024 and would be valid for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: These works would not be carried out simultaneously in all the roads mentioned above. The works in Albert Road E17 are expected to be completed within 1 day, and in Wallwood Road E11 within 12 days however, the Order has been extended to allow for any contingencies. (Ref: TT33(24))

The Waltham Forest (BT Duct Installation) (Wellington Road E17) (Temporary Measures) (No. 1) Order 2024

The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to allow for duct installation works to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner by BT Openreach.

The general effect of the Order will be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at "any time" in Wellington Road E17 - between its junction with Forest Road (A503) and the flank wall of No. 1a. Whilst works are being carried out in the section of the road mentioned in paragraph 2 of this notice, and only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, any one-way working or no-entry prohibition in that road, or in any roads adjoining that road, will be suspended. The Order will come into operation on 18th June 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 4 days, however, the Order has been extended to allow for any contingencies. (Ref: TT34(24))

The Waltham Forest (Nwr Structure Inspection) (E10 Roads) (Temporary Restrictions) (No. 1) Order 2024

The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to enable Network Rail (NWR) to carry out detailed structure inspections in various E10 roads, in a safe and efficient manner.

The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, "at any time" in

(i) High Road Leyton E10 (HRL) - between the northern kerb line of Midland Road and its junction with Coopers Lane;

(ii) Midland Road E10 (MR) - between its junction with HRL and the common boundary of No. 658 HRL and of No. 1a MR (Express Lodge); and

(iii) Skeltons Lane E10 - between the common boundaries of Nos. 69/71 and of Nos. 75/77 Designated controlled parking space situated in the part of road affected by the measures set out in paragraph 2 above will be suspended.

The Order would come into operation on 16th June 2024 and would be valid for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: These works would not be carried out simultaneously in all the roads. The works at each site is anticipated to be completed within 1 night, however, the Order has been extended to allow for any contingencies. (Ref: TT35(24))

Vehicles waiting or loading in disregard of these aforementioned Orders would be removed

The prohibitions mentioned in all notices above would not apply in relation to any vehicle being used

(a) in connection with the said works; or

(b) for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes (if the works allow)

Signage will be placed in advance of any works in the roads mentioned in the aforementioned notices which would give more specific details on the exact dates of the prohibitions effects of any temporary traffic management and diversion routes as necessary
