What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Birds Green, Ongar) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Birds Green, Ongar in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 360m south west of its junction with Millers Green Road for a distance of approximately 115m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th June 2024 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06056230/AP -Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Dunmow Road, School Lane and vice versa (with access only into Birds Green).

The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Greenman Road, Ongar) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Greenman Road, Ongar in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 150m south east of its junction with Greens Farm Lane for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th June 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WF9T8G0N - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while poling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Greenman Road, Hastingwood Road, Canes Lane, Canes Lane Roundabout, Canes Lane Diversion, Talbot Roundabout, Weald Bridge Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Hobbs Cross Road, Harlow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hobbs Cross Road, Harlow in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 415m north west of its junction with New Way Lane for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th June 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WFGWGJ1C - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while poling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Hobbs Cross Road, Threshers Bush, Workers Road, High Laver Road, Matching Tye Road, Harlow Road, Matching Green Road, Matching Road, Moor Hall Road, Sheering Road, Churchgate Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Pecks Hill, Waltham Abbey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pecks Hill, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 230m north east of its junction with Maplecroft Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th June 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX060215ND649 - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Middle Street, Nazeing Common, Common Road, Epping Road, Epping Road Roundabout, Tylers Road, Hamlet Hill, Sedge Green and vice versa (with access only into Sedge Green, Pecks Hill, North Street).

The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Roding Road, Loughton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Roding Road, Loughton in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 110m south east of its junction with Alderton Hill for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th June 2024 for 30 nights (22:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (YG70207197077 -Transport for London). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge works are undertaken by Transport for London.

An alternative route is available via Roding Road, Valley Hill, Loughton Way, Palmerston Road, High Road, Old Station Road, Alderton Hill and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Spains Hall Road, Willingale) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Spains Hall Road, Willingale in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 515m north west of its junction with Pigstye Green Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th June 2024 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410230081 - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains digging works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Wood Lane, Silver Lane, Bassetts Lane, Pigstye Green Road and vice versa (with access only into Spains Hall Road).

The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Turpins Lane, Chigwell) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Turpins Lane, Chigwell in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Manor Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th June 2024 for 42 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MU047PMB14 - ZCHIGW22-002 - Thames Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while utility works are undertaken by Thames Water.

An alternative route is available via Manor Road, Forest Lane, High Road, Turpins Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
