What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Merryfield Lane and Farrington Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Merryfield Lane - from the junction with Cranmore Road, southwards for a distance of 207 metres; and Farrington Lane - from the junction with Cranmore Road, northwards for a distance of 171 metres. A total distance of 378 metres.

This Order will enable Openreach to install underground fibre cables.

The Order becomes effective on 16th May 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 20th May 2024 and last until 22nd May 2024 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 3 days.
