TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
EXTENSION NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the above named Order made by
Doncaster Borough Council on the 16th day of November
2023 which came into force on the 20th day of November
2023 has been continued in force with the approval of the
Secretary of State for Transport under section 15(3) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road
Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 up to and including
the 19th day of November 2024. The Order would otherwise
have expired on the 20th day of May 2024.
The Order was made to ensure the safety of the public and
the workforce whilst demolition and decontamination work is
undertaken following a recent fire.
Reason for the extension of the temporary order is that only
one of the damaged buildings has been demolished so far, the
other remains standing and still poses a risk to members of
the public and will continue to do so until it too is demolished.
The decontamination and repair of the footpath adjacent to
the demolished property has commenced but it is not
yet complete.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for pedestrians
affected by the Order is along the footway of Broad Lane then
through the car park and playing field of Sykehouse Village
Hall and vice versa.
For further information telephone Rights of Way on

The Order will continue in force up to and including the 19th
day of November 2024 or until the works which it is proposed
to carry out in the said public footpath have been completed,
whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within
the time stated the Order may be further extended with the
approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
