What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE PUBLIC FOOTPATHS NO.29 (PART) CASTLETON, NO.33 (PART) HOPE, NO.38 (WHOLE) HOPE UNNUMBERED PATH FROM SK156845 to
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.29 CASTLETON

WHEN: 22 May to 20 November 2024.
WHERE: Close Castleton No.29 from SK155845 to Losehill Farm. Close unnumbered path from the footbridge located at SK156845 to Castleton No.29. Close Hope No.38 for the whole length. Close Hope No.33 from SK158847 to SK158847.
REASON: To facilitate public safety whilst
construction works are carried out at Losehill Farm.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From SK155845, west side of the closure, take the un-numbered path to the footbridge. At the footbridge follow the diversion signs in an easterly direction. These will guide you along the southern side of Losehill Farm and join Hope footpath No.33. At Hope No.33 take the track through the woods to go around the closure located north of the farm.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of footpath. The footpath will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533190.
The County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
