A698 Wideopen Plantation Junction To Berwick - Temporary Road Closure

A698 WIDEOPEN PLANTATION JUNCTION TO BERWICK, NORHAM
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A698 Wideopen Plantation Junction To Berwick from its junction with the B6470 heading in a northerly direction for a length of 3317 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 3rd June 2024 until the 31st October 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 3rd June 2024 between 08:00 until 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st October 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B6470, A698, A1 and vice-versa

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
