What is happening?

TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 50 (PART), UNNUMBERED PATH KNOWN AS FOOTPATH NO. 71 (PART) AND BRIDLEWAY NO. 48 (WHOLE) STAVELEY
WHEN: 20 May to 28 August 2024.
WHERE: Close footpath No.50 from SK436753 to where it meets footpath No.49. Close bridleway No.48 for the whole length. Close un-numbered path known locally as footpath No.71 from SK436753 to SK437753. Close the Trans Pennine Trail from SK437753 to SK437753.
REASON: To facilitate public safety whilst enabling works for the new bridge are carried out.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The contractor has built paths around each closure. Please follow the signage.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of footpath. The footpath will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533190.
The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
