WHALLEY CLITHEROE BYPASS, BILLINGTON, RIBBLE VALLEY
(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) NOTICE 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council has made under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding at a speed exceeding 30 MPH on the lengths of highway in the borough of Ribble Valley.
Whalley Clitheroe Bypass, Billington, from the roundabout at Whalley Bypass Langho to the roundabout at Whalley Clitheroe Bypass Wiswell.
The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Tuesday the 7th of May 2024 until 1700 hours on Thursday 7th November 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow drainage works for new housing estate to be carried out.
