What is happening?

SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL

(Malmains Drive, Frenchay) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Malmains Drive which extends from a point 125m east of Bristol Road eastwards for 50m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with lead replacement works. The order will be operative from 10 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration. Alternative route: Bristol Road, Beckspool Road and vice versa

(Seymour Road, Staple Hill) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Seymour Road which extends from Morley Road northwards for 25m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with gas main replacement works. The order will be operative from 10 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 4 weeks duration. Alternative route: Broad Street, Soundwell Road, Morley Road and vice versa

(Hanham Road, Kingswood) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Hanham Road which extends from a point 91m north east of Hopps Road north eastwards for 30m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new gas service installation works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 19 May 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 8am and 8pm. Alternative route: Hanham Road (parts unaffected), Hopps Road, Court Road and vice versa

(Latteridge Road, Iron Acton) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Latteridge Road which extends from a point 880m north west of Bristol Road westwards for 100m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon level crossing maintenance works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 11 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 night duration, between the hours of 11pm and 5am. Alternative route: Church Road, B4059, A38, B4059, B4058 and vice versa

(Park Lane, Winterbourne) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Park Lane which extends from a point 210m north west of Badminton Road northwards for 70m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon bridge inspection works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 10 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 night duration, between 9pm and 5am. Alternative route: Park Lane (parts unaffected), Badminton Road, Beesmoor Road and vice versa

(Slaits Road, Badminton) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Slaits Road which extends from Well Lane south westwards for 480m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with overhead cabling works. The order will be operative from 10 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Alternative route: The Limes, Old Down Road, B4040 Malmesbury Road, A46, Badminton Road and vice versa

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of B4058 Bristol Road which extends from Latteridge Road to Bristol Road. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon level crossing maintenance works. The order will be operative from 10 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 night duration, between 11pm and 5am. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon resurfacing works. The order will be operative from 3 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closures however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration at each location in respect of each road or length of road.
