What is happening?
THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL (PILTON AREA) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024 – TEMP/24/71
The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate power cable infrastructure upgrade works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit any motor vehicle to be driven on: (i) Crewe Ter, from its jnct with Pilton Pl, south-westwards to the west gable end of No. 30, otherwise than in a sth-westbound direction; & (ii) Pilton Loan, from Pilton Drv to Pilton Pl, otherwise than in an eastbound direction; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on both sides of: (i) Crewe Ter, in its entirety; (ii) Pilton Drv, from the north building line of No. 5, southwards to the north building line of No. 77; (iii) Pilton Loan, in its entirety; & (iv) Pilton Pl, from the north building line of No. 23, southwards to the north property boundary of No. 77. The alternative routes for vehicular traffic with respect to the one-way restrictions are via: (i) Crewe Ter – Crewe Grv, Crewe Cres, Boswall Parkway & Pilton Pl; or Crewe Grv, Pilton Ave & Pilton Pl; & (ii) Pilton Loan – Pilton Drv, Pilton Ave & Pilton Pl; or Pilton Drv, Boswall Parkway & Pilton Pl. The order shall have effect from 20/5/24 to 16/6/24.
