Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrian Traffic Footpath Number No 204 Between Tubbenden Lane To Ridgeway Crescent Orpington

Notice Of Making An Order

1. The Council of the London Borough of Bromley HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that In order for Southern Gas Networks (SGN) to replace a gas main it will be necessary to close footpath number 204 between Tubbenden Lane and Ridgeway Crescent Orpington THEY HAVE MADE an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following restrictions on pedestrian traffic:-Footpath No. 204 will be closed for up to three weeks from Wednesday 15th May 2024. The closure will be in place for the entire duration of works.

Displaced pedestrians will be diverted via:-

Roseberry Gardens, Southcroft Road and Tubbenden Lane in both directions.

2. THE Order will come into effect on Wednesday 15th May 2024 with no specified finish date.

3. NOTHING in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or direction of a Police Officer in uniform or Traffic Warden.

4. ACCESS will be available on either side of the footpath closure, but pedestrians will need to follow the pedestrian diversion signs displayed on site whilst the closure is in place.

5. ALTHOUGH the Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months, it is expected that the actual works will take up to three weeks to complete and will begin on or after the commencement date of the Order.

6. THE prohibitions referred to in paragraph 1 above shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016
