Kilmarnock - Multiple Road Closures and Suspension of One Way Traffic

EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(Various Roads, Kilmarnock - Town Centre) (Temporary Road Closures and Suspension of One Way Traffic) Order 2024

On 14th May 2024 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to facilitate Roon the Toon.

Temporary Road Closure – Various Roads, Kilmarnock - Town Centre.

Dundonald Road - In its Entirety.

Fowlds Street - In its Entirety.

Green Street – from its junction with London Road southwards to its intersection with Sturrock Street.

Holmes Road - from its junction with U34 Fairyhill Road north-east wards to its junction with Dundonald Road.

John Finnie Street - from its junction with St Marnock Street/Dundonald Road/Portland Road northwards to its junction with Grange Place.

London Road (West Bound Lane only) – from its junction with Holehouse Road Westwards to its junction with Green Street.

Old Mill Road – from its intersection with Wellbeck Street to its junction with Sturrock Street/Armour Street.

Portland Road – from its junction with St Marnock Street/Dundonald Road/John Finnie Street westwards to its junction with Grange Street.

Portland Street– from its junction with West George Street southwards to its intersection with The Cross/King Street.

Queens Drive – from its junction with B7072 Hurlford Road north-west wards to its junction intersection with Wellbeck Street.

St Marnock Street – In its Entirety.

Sturrock Street – In its Entirety.

The Cross – In its Entirety.

U34 Fairyhill Road – In its Entirety.

Welbeck Street – from its intersection with Queens Drive north-westwards to its intersection with Old Mill Road

A759 – from its junction with Dundonald Road/U34 Fairyhill Road northwards to its junction with A759 to Gatehead

SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC
King Street (between St Marnock Street and Titchfield Street) and St Marnock Street.

The Order will come into operation at 09:00 hrs until 13:00 hrs on 09/06/24 or until the event is finished whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

Whilst roads are closed alternative routes will be signed accordingly on site.

Vehicular access to properties within the closed roads will be permitted on the instruction of the traffic management marshals when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.

EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(C134 , Newmilns) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024

On 14th May 2024 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to allow Carriageway Resurfacing.

Temporary Road Closure – C134,Newmilns, Various Locations over the full length of road 4,643m.

The Order commences on 28 May 2024 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 28 May 2024 at 08:00 until 09 June 2024 at 18:00.

The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 18:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained when possible and safe to do so.

An alternative route will be signed via Ranoldcoup Road (C134), A71, Bridgend, Browns Road before re-joining the C134 and vice versa.

SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(C1,Straiton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024

On 9th May 2024 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above- named Order, to allow BT Works.

Temporary Road Closure – C1 Newton Stewart Road, Straiton.

From South Ayrshire boundary northbound for 5.6km.

(Section of C1 within Dumfries and Galloway Council Area also closed).

The Order commences on 03 June 2024 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 03 June 2024 at 08:00 until 28 June 2024 at 17:00.

The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained when safe to do so.

An alternative route will be signed via Newton Stewart Road, B741, Eldington Terrace, B734, Coalpots Road, A77, A714 and vice versa.

From Barr it is B734, Glenginnet Road, Nation Cycle Route 7 and vice versa.

SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(A79 John Street, Ayr - Craigie) (Temporary Banned Turns ) Order 2024

On 9th May 2024 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above- named Order to allow installation of new gas main for development site. Banned Right Turns.

Banned right turn from John Street into Riverside Place Banned right turn from Riverside Place into John Street The Order commences on 03 June 2024 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 03 June 2024 at 07:00 until 14th June 2024 at 18:00.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

An alternative route will be signed via Southbound
- A79 John Street - around roundabout at B747.
- A79 John Street Northbound - end.
Northbound - A79 John Street - around roundabout at A719 - A79 John Street Southbound - end.
