Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) Final Notice Of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders 2024

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Clapton Lane, Clapton-in-Gordano, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 4 June 2024 -Ref: SW24.25-031

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to Fit Anti Climb Measures. This will become operative on the 4 June 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration between 9.30am to 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Barrow Street, Barrow Gurney, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 29 May 2024 -Ref: SW24.25-047

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This will become operative on the 29 May 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Highdale Road, Clevedon, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 28 May 2024 -Ref: SW24.25-056

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to replace stop tap and meter. This will become operative on the 28 May 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force. Schedule - Highdale Road outside property number 23a.

Station Road, Backwell, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 28 May 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-070

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to lay new gas service. This will become operative on the 28 May 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice of Making Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places (Consolidation) Order 2022 (Variation No.9) Order 2024 - Ref: 2324/DB/2024

Notice is hereby given that on the 9 May 2023, North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. North Somerset Council Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places (Consolidation) Order 2022 (Variation No.9) Order 2024. The general effect of the order shall be to amend parking restrictions in Clevedon, Nailsea, Long Ashton, Backwell, Pill & Easton-in-Gordano, Wrington & Weston-Super-Mare. The order came into operation on the 13 May 2023 and copies of this together with plans and a copy of the council's statement of reason for making the order may be inspected at North Somerset Council website by using the following address: https://www.n-somerset.gov.uk/notices

Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Notice is hereby given that on the 9 May 2024, North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order shall be to install parking restrictions in the Nailsea area. The extents of the proposals are described in the schedule to this Notice. The order came into operation on the 16 May 2024 and copies of this together with plans and a copy of the Council's statement of reason for making the order may be inspected at North Somerset Council website by using the following address: https://www.n-somerset.gov.uk/notices
