What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14
(WOOD STREET, DEWSBURY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Wood Street, Dewsbury from its junction with Greaves Road to the termination point PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
There is no alternative diversionary route available. Access maintained for residents and Emergency Service Vehicles only.
It is intended that the closure will operate on Tuesday, 4th June 2024 only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(ROYLE FOLD/GEORGE STREET, HECKMONDWIKE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Royle Fold/Geoge Street, Heckmondwike from its junction with Market Place to its junction with Northgate (full extent of bus hub) PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Market Place, Westgate, Greenside, Northgate.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 3rd June 2024 and remain in force until 18th July 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(WHITE LEE ROAD/CARLINGHOW LANE, BATLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Batley:-
White Lee Road - from its junction with Old Leeds Road to its junction with Batley Road
Carlinghow Lane - from its junction with White Lee Road to its junction with Brighton Close
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-
White Lee Road - via the unaffected length of White Lee Road, Leeds Road, Frost Hill,
Flush, Westgate, High Street, Batley Road and vice versa;
Carlinghow Lane - via White Lee Road, Huddersfield Road, Bradford Road, Stocks Lane, Blakeridge Lane, Cross Bank Road, Carlinghow Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Saturday, 18th May 2024 and remain in force until 19th May 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(FLASH LANE/SHILLBANK LANE, MIRFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Flash Lane/Shillbank Lane from its junction with Church Lane to its junction with St Mary’s Walk PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Shillbank Lane, North Road, Huddersfield Road, Church Lane, Dunbottle Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 20th May 2024 and remain in force until 24th May 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(VARIOUS ROADS IN DEWSBURY/BATLEY/MIRFIELD/CLECKHEATON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Dewsbury/Batley/Mirfield/Cleckheaton on a rolling programme as follows:
A58 Whitehall Road, Scholes - from Chain Bar roundabout to Bradford boundary
B6124 Soothill Lane, Batley - from Station Road to Leeds Road
C530 Hey Beck Lane, Woodkirk -from Leeds Road to Leeds boundary
C635 Track Road, Batley - from Purlwell Lane to Halifax Road
B6123 Batley Field Hill, Upper Batley/Batley - from Bradford Road to Timothy Lane
B6128 Challenge Way, Hanging Heaton - from Leeds Road to Grange Road
Flash Lane/Shillbank Lane, Mirfield - from Dunbottle Lane to St Mary’s Walk
Clerk Green Street, Batley - from Healey Lane to Dark Lane
Dark Lane, Batley - from Clerk Green Street to Track Road
Cemetery Road, Batley - from Mayman Lane to Blakeridge Lane
Hillhead Drive, Birstall - from Upper Batley Lane to Ridgeway Drive
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closures will be signed locally as and when required.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 20th May 2024 on a rolling programme of works and remain in force until 30th September 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
