City Of Westminster - Temporary Road Closures
Vehicles will not be allowed to wait at any time in any of the below closed roads or roads made one-way. Any vehicle obstructing the road/crane works will be removed.
Nothing in the Orders shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
The Following Roads Will Be Closed To Vehicles for road works, all in 2024 unless stated. Every effort will be made by the contractor to complete the work as soon as possible.
Foubert’s Place between Marshall Street and Newburgh Street from 17 to 21 June 2024, for new water main connection and disconnection of existing supply by Morrison Water Services Div = Ganton Street, Newburgh Street, Foubert’s Place. HIGH61532.
Houghton Street between Aldwych and End of Houghton Street from 2 to 4 August, back-up dates from 9 to 11 August 2024, for water valve repair by Morrison’s/Thames Water. Div = Is not required as it is a cul-de-sac. HIGH63714.
Little Portland Street between Great Titchfield Street and Great Portland Street from 30 September to 4 October, back-up dates from 7 to 11 October 2024, for utility works by Morrison Water Services. Div = Great Titchfield Street, Margaret Street, Great Portland Street. HIGH61047.
Monck Street between Horseferry Road and Medway Street on 17 July 2024, for council carriageway repairs by FM Conway. Div = Horseferry Road, Marshall Street, Great Peter Street, Monck Street, Medway Street, Arneway Street. Special Conditions: Order will be valid for 6 months. HIGH63621.
Pollen Street (Footpath Closure) between Number 9 and Hanover Street from 17 to 21 June 2024, for new water main connection and disconnection of existing supply by Morrison Water Services. Div = Maddox Street, Regent Street, Hanover Street. Special Conditions: This TTO also includes the Cycle Lane suspension on Hanover Street. HIGH60722.
The Following Roads Will Be Closed To Vehicles during mobile crane work on one, some or all the stated dates, all in 2024 unless stated. Every effort is made by the crane company to complete the work as soon as possible.
Abbey Orchard Street between Victoria Street and Old Pye Street/St Ann’s Street on 22 June 2024, 6 and 13 July 2024, back-up date on 29 June 2024. Div = Victoria Street, Artillery Row, Greycoat Place, Great Peter Street, Perkins Rent, Great Smith Street. HIGH63336.

(Westminster City Council has made an order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting on the closed road, suspending any one-way traffic restriction thereon and on roads made two-way.)
