What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Temporary Closure of Poples Bow

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Poples Bow - from the junction with Bristol Road, northwards for a total distance of 85 metres. This Order will enable Taylor Plant to carry out directional drilling to install a pumping main on behalf of KMW Building Ltd.

The Order becomes effective on 28th May 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 3rd June 2024 and last until 12th July 2024 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 40 days.
