Riverside Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?

(BRIDLEWAY BW0709037 PENWORTHAM, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Bridleway indicated below:-
Part of Bridleway BW0709037 Penwortham, South Ribble, from point A (SD 53218 28149) at the junction with Riverside Road to point B (SD 53527 28295) adjacent to the railway bridge. This is a total length of approximately 360 metres.
The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the bridleway.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the bridleway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the bridleway, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works
The Order will be operative from the 13th May, 2024, for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed within this period.
