Swindon Borough Council Section 14 - The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Notice Of Traffic Orders For Temporary Road And Footpath Closures And Restrictions
Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL made the following orders:
(STR000820 A3102 WOOTTEN BASSETT ROAD, SWINDON)
This Order is being introduced for NETWORK RAIL bridge maintenance works and will impose a prohibition of driving on the A3102 Wootten Bassett Road at the rail bridge. Traffic to be diverted via Wootton Bassett Road, Kingshill Road, Bath Road, Devizes Road Croft Road, Swindon Road, Moormead Road, Devizes Road, High Street, Church Hill, Broad Hinton Road, A4361, Beckhamption Road, A4, London Road, Curzon Street, Greenacres Way, Beaversbrook Road, A3102, Calne Road, The Green, South View, The Hillcocks, Hunts Mill Road, Vastern, High Street, Coped Hall, Swindon Road, Spittleborough Roundabout, Great Western Way, Wootton Bassett Road and/or Great Western Way, Kemble Drive, Rodbourne Road and Westcott Place. Effective from 23 May 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the restrictions are only required on the 23 May 2024 from 21:00 hours to 05:00 hours on the 24 May 2024.
(STR000815 CHERRY ORCHARD, HIGHWORTH)
This Order is being introduced for THAMES WATER works and will impose a restriction on driving on Cherry Orchard outside Navoo Cottage. Traffic to be diverted via Cherry Orchard, Downs View and Orange Close. Effective from the 20 May 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the works will be completed by 24 May 2024.
(STR000824 SHEPPARD STREET, SWINDON)
This Order is being introduced for THAMES WATER works and will impose a restriction on driving on Sheppard Street outside No 20. Traffic to be diverted via East Street, Henry Street, Holbrook Way, Faringdon Road, Farnsby Street, Commercial Road, Princes Street, Corporation Street, Manchester Road, Milford Street, Holbrook Way, Cheltenham Street, Beales Close and Station Road. Effective from the 28 May 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the works will take place between the hours of 19:00 hours to midnight on the 28 May 2024 only.
(STR000832 CRICKLADE ROAD, SWINDON)
This Order is being introduced for OPENREACH works and will impose a one way restriction on Cricklade Road between Trowbridge Close and Marston Avenue. Contraflow system to be put in place to manage traffic. Effective from the 28 May 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the works will take place between on the 28 May 2024 only.
(STR000843 WHARF ROAD, WROUGHTON)
This Order is being introduced for SBC HIGHWAY works and will impose a restriction on driving on B4005 Wharf Road between High Street and Perry's Lane. Traffic to be diverted via B4005 Wharf Road, Mill Lane, Foxham Way, B4006 Black Horse Way, Croft Road, Swindon Road, Moormead Road, Devizes Road,High Street and B4005 Wharf Road. Effective from the 28 May 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the works will take place between 28 May and 4 June 2024 only.
(STR000831 FP 7 AND 8, STANTON FITZWARREN)
This Order is being introduced on health and safety grounds due to construction and will impose a closure of PROW footpath SF7 between Mill Lane and PROW FP SF6 and PROW footpath SF8. Alternative route. A signed route through Stanton Fitzwarren Country Park and the Old Railway line. Effective from the 27 May 2024 for 6 months.
