Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
B2231 KINGSFERRY BRIDGE, MINSTER-ON-SEA. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on B2231 Kingsferry Bridge, Minster-on-Sea, on the following dates:-
from 22.00 hours on Friday 7th June 2024, with estimated completion by 05.00 hours on Monday 10th June 2024
from 22.00 hours on Friday 28th June 2024, with estimated completion by 05.00 hours on Sunday 7th July 2024
from 22.00 hours on Friday 12th July 2024, with estimated completion by 05.00 hours on Monday 15th July 2024
from 22.00 hours on Friday 19th July 2024, with estimated completion by 05.00 hours on Sunday 28th July 2024
The road will be closed from the roundabout with Queenborough Road, to the roundabout with Old Ferry Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via B2231 Sheppey Way, A2500 Lower Road, A249 Maidstone Road, Bobbing Roundabout, A249 Maidstone Road, Kingsferry Roundabout and vice versa.
The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists will be via a shuttle bus service on site.
EASTLING ROAD, EASTLING. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Eastling Road, Eastling, on or after 20th May 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in both directions from the junction with North Eastling Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Eastling Road, Otterden Road, Bunce Court Road, Warren Street, Hubbards Hill, Rayners Hill, A20 Ashford Road, A20 Maidstone Road, A252 Charing Hill, Faversham Road, Broomfield Lane, A251 Ashford Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
LOWER RAINHAM ROAD, UPCHURCH, ME8 8QR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Rainham Road, Upchurch, on or after 20th May 2024, for up to 21 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Three Sisters Roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Otterham Quay Lane, A2 High Street, B2004 Station Road, Lower Rainham Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
MIDDLE ROW, FAVERSHAM, ME13 7JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Middle Row, Faversham, on or after 4th June 2024, for up to 9 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed to the rear of numbers 44-45 Court Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
SANDBANKS LANE, GRAVENEY, ME13 9DF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sandbanks Lane, Graveney, on or after 5th June 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Seasalter Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
SAXON ROAD, FAVERSHAM, ME13 7LX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Saxon Road, Faversham, on or after 20th May 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Norman Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for Saxon Road is via Saxon Road, School Road, B2040 South Road, Saxon Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for Norman Road is via Roman Road, Stone Street, Saxon Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
STALISFIELD ROAD, OSPRINGE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Stalisfield Road, Ospringe, on or after 6th June 2024, with estimated completion by 7th June 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from 400m east of Scooks Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Stalisfield Road, Bowl Road, A252 Charing Hill, Faversham Road, Housefield Road, Throwley Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
WALLERS ROAD, FAVERSHAM, ME13 7PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow steel repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wallers Road, Faversham, on or after 20th May 2024, for up to 4 days, between the hours of 22.00 and 05.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There will be gate marshals on site during the works to allow access to residents of Grove Place and Wallers Road.
The alternative route is via Grove Place, B2040 Ospringe Road, Lower Road, Wallers Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
VARIOUS ROADS, SWALE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of various roads in Swale, from 3rd June 2024, with estimated completion by 29th June 2024, Monday to Saturday only, between the hours of 20.00 and 06.00, or until the works have been completed.
WORKS SCHEDULE
Oad Street, Stockbury, Borden & Bredgar
Oad Street, Stockbury, Borden & Bredgar will be closed from 3rd June 2024, with estimated completion by 8th June 2024.
The road will be closed between Pett Lane and Maidstone Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles:-
Eastbound is via A249 Sittingbourne Road, M2 J5 Roundabout, A249 Maidstone Road, Key Street Slip Northbound off, Key Street Roundabout, A2 Key Street, London Road, Borden Lane, Bannister Hill, Hearts Delight Road, Wrens Road, Sutton Baron Road, Pond Farm Road and Oad Street.
Westbound is via Oad Street, Pond Farm Road, Sutton Baron Road, Wrens Road, Hearts Delight Road, Bannister Hill, Borden Lane, A2 London Road, Key Street, Key Street Roundabout, Key Street Slip Southbound on, A249 Maidstone Road, M2 J5 Roundabout and Sittingbourne Road.
Manns Place (Wrens Road), Bredgar & Borden
Manns Place (Wrens Road), Bredgar & Borden will be closed from 10th June 2024, with estimated completion by 15th June 2024.
The road will be closed between Silver Street and Sutton Baron Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Gore Road, Primrose Lane, Bredgar Road, Hearts Delight Road, Wrens Road and vice versa.
Ruins Barn Road, Tunstall
Ruins Barn Road, Tunstall will be closed from 24th June 2024, with estimated completion by 29th June 2024.
The road will be closed between Bexon Lane and Broadoak Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Broadoak Road, Bottom Pond Road, Bexon Lane and vice versa.
Sawpit Road, Kingsdown
Sawpit Road, Kingsdown will be closed from 24th June 2024, with estimated completion by 29th June 2024.
The road will be closed between Pitstock Road (Slough Road) and Downcourt Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Downcourt Road, Chequers Hill, Doddington Lane, Kingsdown Road, Pitstock Road (Slough Road), and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
