What is happening?

Notice of Variation given under sections 35C and 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Epping Forest District Council

(Off Street Parking Places) Order 2022 - B (as amended).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Epping Forest District Council intends, not less than twenty-one days from the date of this notice, to vary the above Order relating to fees and charges at District car parks under Section 35C and 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. It is intended that the changes will take place on 03 June 2024. The variation will have the effect of changing the tariff of fees and charges (inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate) at the following locations - all other locations will continue with their existing arrangements.

Buckhurst Hill - Queens Road (Upper), Queens Road (Lower)

Epping - Civic Offices

Loughton - Burton Road, Burton Road South, Clifton Road, Oakwood Hill Industrial Estate East, The Drive, High Beech Road, Old Station Road (Sainsburys), Smarts Lane, Traps Hill, Vere Road,

Ongar - Bansons Lane, Sainsburys Bansons Lane, The Pleasance

Waltham Abbey - Cornmill, Darby Drive, Quaker Lane (Pay and Display section)

1) New Tariff Structure - Applies to all car parks where there are tariffs (does not apply to car parks which are currently free of charge)

a) Up to 30-minutes period - The up to 30-minutes tariff will be removed. All tariffs above 30 minutes will remain in place at the current charges.

b) Sundays - The 2 hour free of charge parking period will be removed and the Monday - Saturday standard tariffs will apply.
