Elvaston Place - Temporary Road Closures For Utility Works
What is happening?
THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES ELVASTON PLACE
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea intends to make an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.
ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR UTILITY WORKS.
Elvaston Place to be closed westbound between the junctions of Queen’s Gate to the junction of Elvaston Mews.
To be closed from 08.00hrs on Tuesday 28th May 2024 until 18.00hrs on Thursday 30th May 2024, or until the works are completed.
Diverted through traffic may use Queen’s Gate, Queen’s Gate Terrace, Gore Street, Elvaston Place, or Elvaston Place, Queen’s Gate Place, Queen’s Gate. Or Queen’s Gate, Queen’s Gate Terrace, Gloucester Road, Elvaston Place.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
