Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DOVER AREA
A258 DEAL ROAD, SWINGATE, CT15 5FD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A258 Deal Road, Swingate, on or after 6th June 2024 for up to 16 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Station Road and A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound Off, A256 Link Between Whitfield Interchange Roundabouts, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road, A258 Sandwich Road, A258 London Road, A258 Queen Street, A258 Broad Street, A258 Beach Street, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Deal Castle Road, A258 Victoria Road, A258 The Strand, A258 Dover Road and A258 Deal Road.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A258 Deal Road, A258 Dover Road, A258 The Strand, A258 Victoria Road, A258 Ranelagh Road, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Beach Street, A258 Queen Street, A258 London Road, A258 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road, A256 Sandwich Road, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound On and A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
CHURCH STREET, WALMER, CT14 7RU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Street, Walmer, on or after 3rd June 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 26, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Street, Court Road, Station Road, A258 Dover Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
DOVER ROAD, EASTRY, CT13 0JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dover Road, Eastry, on or after 22nd May 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Crossways, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dover Road, A256 Eastry Bypass, Sandwich Road, High Street, Lower Street and vice versa.
EXCHANGE STREET, DEAL, CT14 6AF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow building works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Exchange Street, Deal, on or after 4th June 2024.
The road will be closed from number 181 to the junction of Middle Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Exchange Street, Beach Street, Griffin Street, Middle Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
THE BUTCHERY, SANDWICH, CT13 9AB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Butchery, Sandwich, on or after 20th May 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Potter Street and Harnet Street, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Market Street, Delf Street and Harnet Street.
THE STREET, EYTHORNE, CT15 4BX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Eythorne, on or after 3rd June 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Coldred Road to The Crown Inn, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Coldred Road, Church Road, Coldred Hill, A2 Dover Road, Sandwich Road, A256 Whitfield By-pass, Kennel Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
WIDRED ROAD, DOVER, CT17 0BT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Widred Road, Dover, on or after 20th May 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 6, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Widred Road, Odo Road, South Road, Tower Hamlets Street and vice versa.
WINCHELSEA TERRACE, DOVER, CT17 9SS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Winchelsea Terrace, Dover, on or after 3rd June 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 26, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
