What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL
(B5285, NEAR SAWREY AND OLD ROAD, WATCHGATE)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
1. B5285, Near Sawrey, from a point approx. 1 km south of its junction with the U5025, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 380 m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the B5285, C5027 and the C5026.
Duration: From 10th May 2024 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/10175)
2. Old Road, Watchgate, from its junction with the A6, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 50 m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Old Road, C5063 and the A6.
Duration: From 13th May 2024 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/10210)

The Order will come into operation on 10th May 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
