Wylam, Temporary Road Closures Due To Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
Northumberland County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) U8280 Neale Street/Broomhill Road West Wylam (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highways in West Wylam in the County of Northumberland.
- U8280 Neale Street for its entire length.
- U8280 Broomhill Road for its entire length. The Order is to be effective from the 28th May 2024 until the 26th June 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 29th May 2024 until the 31st May 2024 between the hours of 08:00 until 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 26th June 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Adderland Road, West Wylam Drive, B6395 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to plan out and resurface the carriageway. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
