Cromwell Grove - Prohibition Of Traffic For Highway Improvement Works
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order: ORDER NO. MCC138679836:
The City of Manchester (Cromwell Grove, Levenshulme Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Cromwell Grove from Stockport Road to Barlow Road.
The alternative routes for traffic will be:
1.Stockport Road, Barlow Road, Dunstable Street. 2. Stockport Road, Barlow Road. 3. Stockport Road, Broom Lane, Barlow Road. 4. Barlow Road, Broom Lane Chapel Street, Stockport Road.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Highway Improvement Works.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 24th May 2024 to 24th August 2024. The order shall come into operation on 24th May 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
