Corbridge Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
Northumberland County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -Section 14(1) A695 Corbridge Road Hexham (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A695 Corbridge Road Hexham from its junction with Maidens Walk heading east for a distance of 2214 metres in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 11th May 2024 until the 31st October 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 23rd May 2024 until the 24th May 2024 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st October 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A6079, A69, B6529 B6321 and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out pre-surface dressing patching, civils, surface dressing, lock chip, white lining & road studs. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
