TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS

Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE ORDER ON OLD LANE TOLL BRIDGE, DARLEY ABBEY, DERBY

WHEN: 6 May 2024 to 10 May 2024 WHERE: Old Lane Toll Bridge, Darley Abbey REASON: Works to realign temporary footbridge (Walter’s Walkway) access ramp.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Old Lane – Darley Street – Darley Park Footpath (southbound) – Handyside Bridge – Darley Fields (Parker’s Piece) Footpath (northbound) – Folly Road – Haslams Lane. [Reverse for opposite direction]

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON HAYDOCK PARK ROAD, DERBY

WHEN: 28 May 2024 to 6 June 2024 (Daily: 08:00 to 15:30 Only) WHERE: Haydock Park Road, from its junction with Wetherby Road to its junction with the entrance to Alvaston Glass Limited – a distance of approximately 250 metres REASON: Carriageway resurfacing

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Wetherby Road – Gosforth Road – Haydock Park Road and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON NOTTINGHAM ROAD (SERVICE ROAD), DERBY

WHEN: 27 May 2024 to 7 June 2024 WHERE: Nottingham Road (Service Road), at its junction with Nottingham Road REASON: Construction works

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Nottingham Road – Eden Road – Nottingham Road (Service Road) and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY PARKING BAY SUSPENSION ORDER ON ST MARYS GATE, DERBY

WHEN: 5 June 2024 to 10 June 2024 WHERE: St Marys Gate, between number 40 and number 42 – a distance of approximately 12 metres REASON: Electric works

TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE ORDER ON WESTBOURNE PARK, DERBY

WHEN: 28 May 2024 to 29 May 2024 WHERE: Footpath linking Westbourne Park to Radbourne Lane. REASON: Water works.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Westbourne Park – Dulwich Road – Footpath linking Radbourne Lane and the same in the opposite direction.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON CLEVELAND ROAD, DERBY

WHEN: 27 May 2024 to 31 May 2024 WHERE: Cleveland Avenue, at its junction with Nottingham Road REASON: Construction works.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Nottingham Road – Lime Grove – St Johns Avenue and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON BOULTON LANE, DERBY

WHEN: 20 May 2024 – 22 May 2024 WHERE: Boulton Lane, Outside St Marys Church, from its junction with Nunsfield Drive to its junction with Courtland Drive. REASON: Water works

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Boulton Lane – Brackens Lane – Upper Moor Road – Osmaston Road – A5111 Harvey Road – Boulton Lane and the same in the opposite direction Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER LODGE LANE, DERBY

WHEN: 2 June 2024 Only WHERE: Lodge Lane, from its junction with Quaker Way to its junction with Bridge Street and Willow Row. REASON: Water works

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Westbound: Garden Street – Kedleston Road – Queensway (A38) – Ashbourne Road – Friar Gate – Bridge Street And Eastbound: Bridge Street – Agard Street – Ford Steet – St Alkmunds Way – Cathedral Road – Queen Street – King Street – Quaker Way

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER SOUTHWOOD STREET, DERBY

WHEN: 3 June 2024 to 6 June 2024 WHERE: Southwood Street, from its junction with Beatty Street to its junction with Severn Street. REASON: New water connection

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Beatty Street – Brighton Road – Severn Street and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON RAYNESWAY AND A52 EASTBOUND OFF-SLIP, DERBY

WHEN: 29 May 2024 to 30 May 2024 (20:00 to 06:00 Only) WHERE: Raynesway, from the Derby Road/ Acorn Way/Raynesway Roundabout to A5111 Raynesway. And A52 Eastbound off-slip to Raynesway REASON: Horticultural maintenance

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Southbound: Derby Road – Spondon Roundabout – A52 Eastbound – Victoria Avenue – A52 Westbound – Raynesway Northbound: A52 Westbound – Circumnavigate The Pentagon – A52 Eastbound – Spondon Roundabout – Derby Road. From A52 Eastbound: A52 Eastbound – Victoria Avenue – A52 Westbound – Raynesway

(Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.68) (Experimental) Order 2024

DERBY CITY COUNCIL made this Experimental Order on the 9th day of May 2024, which will become effective from the 20th day of May 2024 for a period of 18 months, under Sections 1, 2, 4, and Part IV of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic Act 1991 the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers in that behalf and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police:

The purpose of the Experimental Order is to bring into effect the following:

Prohibition of driving of motor vehicles (Mon-Fri 8.30am - 9am and 3pm - 3.45pm) (Permit Holder Exemption) exemptions 1, 2

• On Reigate Drive between Westbourne Park and Penge Road
• On Finchley Avenue between Westbourne Park and Ladbroke Gardens

A copy of the Experimental Order together with maps which show the definitive extents of the Order and a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for making the Experimental Order, may be inspected on Derby City Council’s website at the following URL: https://www.derby.gov.uk/tro

Derby City Council will be considering, in due course, whether the provisions of this Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely.

Anyone wishing to object to the Experimental Order continuing in force indefinitely, should state their grounds of objection, sending it in writing to Derby City Council, Traffic and Transportation, Communities and Place, The Council House, Corporation Street, Derby, DE1 2FS or by email to traffic.management@derby.gov.uk to be received no later than the 19th of November 2024.
