The East Sussex (Footway linking U6434 New England Lane/C296 Military Road)
(Temporary Footway Closure) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out foot path works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of footway;
Temporary Footway Closure
New England Lane – between U6434 New England Lane and C296 Military Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 13 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13 and 17 May 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U3143 Saxon Street, St Leonards-on-Sea)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Saxon Street – from the junction with A2102 London Road to the junction with A2102 Norman Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A2102 London Road, Norman Road.
The Order commences 15 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 15 and 23 May 2024, depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (B2098 Buckhurst Place, Bexhill)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Buckhurst Place – from the junction with A269 Town Hall Square to the junction with B2098 Buckhurst Place.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A269 Town Hall Square, London Road – A259(T) Little Common Road – B2098 Sutherland Avenue, Collington Avenue, Terminus Road, Buckhurst Place.
The Order commences 15 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 15 and 16 May 2024, depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Fysie Lane – from the junction with U6196 Burgh Hill to the junction with C213 Church Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C213 Sheepstreet Lane – C83 Myskyns Road – C212 Battenhurst Road, Shrub Lane – A265 Etchingham Road, Straight Mile, High Street – U6196 Burgh Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 13 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13 and 29 May 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (A268 Whitebread Lane, Beckley)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Whitebread Lane – from the junction with U6415 Stoddards Lane to Knelle Gate Cottage.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A268 Whitebread Lane – A28 Station Road, Main Street – B2088 Rye Road, Northiam Road, Main Street – A268 Peasmarsh Road, Whitebread Lane and vice versa. The Order commences 13 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13 and 17 May 2024, depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (B2092 Harley Shute Road, St Leonards-on-Sea)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Harley Shute Road – 20 metres either side of the level crossing.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2092 Harley Shute Road – A259 Bexhill Road – A2036 Hastings Road, Wrestwood Road – A2691 Mount View Street – A2690 Combe Valley Way – B2092 Queensway, Crowhurst Road, Harley Shute Road and vice versa.
The Order commenced 19 November 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (U6975 Cottage Lane, Westfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Cottage Lane – from the junction with U6961 Mill Lane to the junction with C22 Harts Green.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C22 Harts Green, Wheel Lane – A28 Main Road – U6975 Cottage Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 10 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 10 May 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Portland Place – from the junction with U3188 Stone Street to the junction with A2101 Queens Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3188 Stone Street – A2101 Queens Road.
The Order commences 29 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 29 May 2024, depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2
To allow BT to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Marina Court Avenue – from the junction with U6735 Channel View West a distance of approximately 50 metres.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 28 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 and 30 May 2024, depending upon the weather conditions. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Church Road – from the junction with U3158 Blomfield Road to the junction with P3120 St Pauls Place.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3158 Blomfield Road – U3159 Magdalen Road – U3158 St Johns Road – U3157 Church Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 24 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 24 May 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Battery Hill/Fairlight Road – from the junction with U6636 Peter James Lane to the junction with U3238 Martineau Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C92 Battery Hill, Pett Level Road – C23 Chick Hill Pett, Pett Road, Friars Hill – A259 Winchelsea Road, Rye Road, Old London Road – C92 Fairlight Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 28 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 04:00hrs between 28 May and 1 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C639 Chowns Hill – B2093 The Ridge, Conquest roundabout, The Ridge – A2100 Junction Road – A21 Sedlescombe Road North – A21(T) Sedlescombe Road North – A28 Westfield Lane, Church Lane – C22 Moor Lane, The Moor, Three Oaks Road, Butchers Lane – C639 Ivyhouse Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 24 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 24 May 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
