EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (Public Footpath Hailsham 40c (part)) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2024

To protect public safety during housing development works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following footpath:

Temporary Footpath Closure

Part of Public Footpath Hailsham 40c will be closed between TQ 6019 0918 and TQ 6006 0929. An alternative route will be available around the south-west boundary of the field.

The Order is made following the issuing of a Temporary Notice under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Act 1984, as amended.

The closure will be in force for 6 months from 13 May 2024, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier, which after this period will require an extension from the Secretary of State, should the footpath still be unavailable to use.
