Loughborough Road - Prohibition Of Driving For Patching Repairs

What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(LOUGHBOROUGH ROAD, EAST LEAKE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (R24-097)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at East Leake in the Borough of Rushcliffe.

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road: -

a. Loughborough Road - from its junction with A6006 Melton Road to its junction with Mill Lane.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of road: -

a. Loughborough Road (Both sides, 08:00-15:30) - from its junction with A6006 Melton Road to its junction with Mill Lane.

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 08:00 hours on Monday 13th May 2024 Until 15:30 hours on Wednesday 22nd May 2024

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: Main Street - Leake Road - A60 Loughborough Road - A6006 Ashby Road - A6006 Melton Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into force on Monday 13th May 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.

The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out large scale patching repairs;
