What is happening?

Essex County Council

(A104 Epping New Road, Epping Forest) (Restricted Road and 40mph Speed Limit) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 81, 82(1) & (2)(b), 83(2), 84(1) and (2) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of The Order:

To Implement: a '30mph Speed Limit' (Currently a 40mph Speed Limit)

Road

A104 Epping New Road

Description

From a point approximately 82 metres north of the junction with A1069  Rangers Road, southwards for approximately 1037 metres.

The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Epping Forest) (40mph, Restricted Road, 20mph Speed Limit and Zone) Order 2012 is hereby revoked insofar as it relates to the 40MPH Speed Limit on A104 Epping New Road only. All other restrictions will remain in place. The Essex County Council (A104 Epping New Road, Buckhurst Hill) (Restricted Road) Order 2008 is hereby revoked. All restrictions contained within the order will remain in force by virtue of this new order.

(Manor Road, Waltham Abbey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Manor Road, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 40m south west of its junction with Wellington Hill for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd June 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MU277HIGHBEECH - Thames Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while remedial works are undertaken by Thames Water.

An alternative route is available via Manor Road, Wellington Hill, Pynest Green Lane, Avey Lane, Road Between Manor Road and Avey Lane and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 16th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mill Lane, High Ongar) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Lane, High Ongar in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with The Street for a distance of approximately 280m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd June 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (MU026SA-657025 - Thames Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sewer cleaning works are undertaken by Thames Water.

An alternative route is available via The Street, Chelmsford Road, High Ongar Road, Four Wantz Roundabout, High Street, Coopers Hill, Brentwood Road, Stondon Road and vice versa (with access only into Mill Lane).

The Order will come into effect on 16th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Pynest Green Lane, Waltham Abbey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pynest Green Lane, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 110m south west of its junction with Claypit Hill for a distance of approximately 70m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd June 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001322852 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas repair works are undertaken by Cadent. An alternative route is available via Pynest Green Lane, Claypit Hill, Wake Road, Wellington Hill and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 16th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(School Lane, Ongar) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of School Lane, Ongar in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 205m south east of its junction with Green Hill Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th June 2024 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06055437/AP - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new supply works are undertaken by Affinity Water. An alternative route is available via School Lane, Green Hill Road, Berwick Lane, Dunmow Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 16th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Borders Lane, Loughton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Borders Lane, Loughton in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Chigwell Lane for a distance of approximately 25m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th May 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MU091NLS00081335652-001 - Thames Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Thames Water. Alternative routes are available via:

1. Borders Lane, Newmans Lane, Rectory Lane and vice versa.

2. Colson Road, Chigwell Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 2nd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Debden Lane, Loughton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Jacks Hill/Coppice Row, Epping) (Temporary Suspension of 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Debden Lane, Loughton in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Ripley View for a distance of approximately 130m in a north easterly then south easterly direction.

2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction to all traffic on Jacks Hill/Coppice Row, Epping in the District of Epping Forest, from the junction with B1393 to the junction with Piercing Hill as cited in 'Epping Forest District Council Epping Forest District (Coppice Row, Theydon Bois) (Weight Restriction) Order 1994'.

The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 25th May 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA75303335 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Debden Lane, Loughton Lane, The Green, Coppice Row, Jacks Hill, Wake Arms Roundabout, Goldings Hill, Rectory Lane, Hillyfields, Pyrles Lane, Englands Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 2nd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Downhall Road, Matching) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Sheering Road/Moor Hall Road/Matching Road, Harlow/Matching) (Temporary Suspension of 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Downhall Road, Matching in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 350m south east of its junction with Kingston Farm Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a south westerly then south easterly direction.

2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction to all traffic on Sheering Road/Moor Hall Road/Matching Road, Harlow/Matching in the District of Epping Forest from its junction with Sheering Drive, in a generally easterly direction, over the M11 up to its junction with Chalks Lane (Eastern Entrance) as cited in 'The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Harlow/Matching) (7.5 tonne Environmental Weight Restriction) Order 2020'.

The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 20th May 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30013187607 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree cutting works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Downhall Road, Matching Tye Road, Harlow Road, Matching Green Road, Moor Hall Road, Sheering Road, Gilden Way Spur, Gilden Way, Sheering Road, The Street, Hatfield Heath Road and vice versa (with access only into Matching Road, Downhall Road).

The Order came into effect on 2nd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rosebank/Honey Brook, Waltham Abbey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rosebank, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Honey Lane to its junction with Honey Brook a distance of approximately 145m then Honey Brook, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 60m south east of its junction with Woodbrook Gardens for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction (works to be completed in phases). The closures are scheduled to commence on 20th May 2024 for 42 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MU034ROSEBANK/ MU034HONEYBROOK - Thames Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while water mains replacement works are undertaken by Thames Water. Alternative routes are available via:

1. Honey Lane, Rounton Road, Woodbrook Gardens, Honey Brook and vice versa.

2. Rounton Road, Honey Lane, Stonyshotts and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 2nd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Star Lane, Epping) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Star Lane, Epping in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 20m south east of its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th May 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA12788325 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while service provision works are undertaken by Openreach. An alternative route is available via High Street, Palmers Hill, Hemnall Street and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 2nd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, District of Epping Forest) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway & Temporary Introduction of a 30 MPH Speed Limit) (No.7) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of road in the District of Epping Forest as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in that length of road in the District of Epping Forest as specified in the schedule to this Order.

3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

"The Essex County Council (Epping Forest District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 2nd May 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter / leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. (Various Roads, District of Harlow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.9) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those various lengths of roads in the District of Harlow as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
