What is happening?

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(U722 SANDERSON LANE, HILLDALE, WEST LANCASHIRE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle, cycle or pedestrian to proceed over that length of U722 Sanderson Lane, Hilldale from the property named Oakdene to the access road to the properties named Harrock Holt and Glendale.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Monday 15th April 2024 until 1700 hours on Friday 26th April 2024 or until completion of the works within this period. Pedestrian access to properties will be maintained.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
U722 Sanderson Lane, Hilldale – U725 Coopers Lane, Hilldale (into Chorley Borough) – U721 Coopers Lane, Heskin – C176 Barmskin Lane, Heskin – C173 Bentley Lane, Heskin (into West Lancashire Borough) – C173 Bentley Lane, Hilldale and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow low voltage cable diversion works to be carried out by Network Plus on behalf of Electricity North West.
