Welland Close & Fleetway - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(WELLAND CLOSE & FLEETWAY, WORKSOP)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (BS24-125)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from
the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, in respect of roads at Worksop in the District of Bassetlaw.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road: -
a. Welland Close – for its full length of road.
b. Fleetway – for its full length of road.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both sides, 08:00-15:30) in the
following length of road: -
a. Welland Close – for its full length of road.
b. Fleetway – for its full length of road.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
Welland Close -
From 08:00 hours until 15:30 hours on Wednesday 12 th June 2024
Fleetway -
From 09:30 hours on Monday 17 th June 2024
Until 15:00 hours on Tuesday 25 th June 2024
The Order will come into force on Wednesday 12 th June 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day
and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force
until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out large scale patching repairs;
