SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL

(France Lane, Hawkesbury Upton) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of France Lane which extends from a point 225m north west of A46 north westwards for 50m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with new water connection installation works. The order became operative from 17 May 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: France Lane, A46, A46 Boxwell Road, A4135, B4058, Cotswold Way, School Road, Wortley Road, Wortley Terrace, Alderley Road, High Street, Cotswold Way, High Street and vice versa

(Shellards Road, Longwell Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Shellards Road which extends from Bath Road northwards for 25m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with gas main upgrade works. The order became operative from 13 May 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration. Alternative route: Woodward Drive, Marsham Way, Bath Road and vice versa

(Itchington Road, Tytherington) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Itchington Road which extends from a point 180m north east of Earthcott Road northwards for 445m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with pole replacement works. The order will be operative from 7 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 8.30am and 3.30pm. Alternative route: Itchington Road, A38, Stowell Hill Road and vice versa

(Newton Road, Cadbury Heath) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Newton Road which extends from Hampton Close north westwards for 50m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with resurfacing works. The order will be operative from 3 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. (Various Roads, Rudgeway and Mangotsfield – Surface Dressing) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to:- a) close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; and b) suspend, temporarily, when signs are covered, the South Gloucestershire Council (Various Roads – Kingswood, Mangotsfield and Warmley Area) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles of Over 7.5 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) (Uni-Directional Limit for Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 2001 in so far as it relates to the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this order is hereby suspended, temporarily, for the duration of this order. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon carriageway surface dressing works. The order will be operative from 3 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 week duration in respect of each location. (Long Road and Valley Road, Mangotsfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon sewer installation works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 3 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 6 weeks duration. Schedule Long Road – from Valley Road southwards for 50m; Valley Road – from Long Road westwards for 100m. Alternative route: Rodway Road, Long Road and vice versa

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Bury Lane which extends from Horsepool Lane north eastwards for 260m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with pole replacement works. The order will be operative from 6 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9.30am and 3.30pm. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with sewer repair works. The order will be operative from 3 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration. NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
(FOOTPATHS LDO 19 (PART), LDO 20 (PART) AND LDH 8 (PART) AT BARLEY CLOSE FARM, CODRINGTON) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2024

The above order, made on 1 May 2024, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert that length of public footpath LDO 19 in the Unitary District of South Gloucestershire in the Parish of Dodington from the farm access track south of the stream at Point A (grid reference ST 7308 7829) running in a south-southwesterly direction across a field then into the middle of the farm buildings for a distance of 279m to meet LDO 20 at Point D (grid reference ST 7297 7804) then continuing in a southerly direction through farm buildings and along a field edge for a distance of 244m to meet LDH 8 near the field boundary north of the River Boyd and M4 motorway at Point B (grid reference ST 7295 7779). Shown by a bold continuous line marked A – D – B on the map contained in this order; that length of public footpath LDO 20 in the Unitary District of South Gloucestershire in the Parish of Dodington from the unaffected part of the path at the field edge south of two ponds at Point C (grid reference ST 7270 7829) running in a southeasterly direction across a field, through a field boundary and into the centre of the farm buildings for a distance of 379m to meet LDO 19 at Point D (grid reference ST 7297 7804). Notice is hereby given that the above order, made by South Gloucestershire District Council on 11 November 2020, has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 19 May 2026 or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the order has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon large scale earthworks and would have expired on 19 May 2024.
