Wolsingham, Temporary Road Closures due to Resurfacing Works.

(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024
The Council on 8/5/2024 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 551 metre length of A689 West End, Front Street, Market Place and East End from the entrance to St Annes Centre Car Park at western side of closure in an easterly direction to the front of no. 15 East End; a 46 metres length of B6296 from the junction with A689 in a northerly direction to the front of no. 14 Market Place and a 49 metres length of C30 from the junction with A689 in a southerly direction to the front of 37 and 39 Front Street to enable Carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken.
Throughout the period of closure, a diversion will be available to vehicular traffic from east side of closure in an easterly direction on A689 then north on A68 then northwest and southerly on B6278 then southeast on A689 to western end of closure and vice versa.
The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on Monday 13/5/2024 (weekdays only between 6pm and 11.59pm) and are anticipated to be completed in 10 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
