What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS BRIARS CLOSE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Briars Close from its junction with Bromleigh Drive to its junction with Saphire Gate.

The Order will come into effect at 00.01 hours on Tuesday 14th May 2024 and is required to facilitate the installation of a new water connection by Severn Trent Water on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Thursday 16th May 2024.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Briars Close

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS NORMAN PLACE ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), have made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding on Norman Place Road (in both directions) between its junctions with Brownshill Green Lane and Hollyfast Road

The Order will come into effect at 11.00 hours to 17.00 house on Tuesday 14th May 2024 and is required to facilitate the safe operation of filming ‘Here we go Again’.

The surrounding roads will have road ahead closed signs and diversions signs, however there will be maintained access to properties during filming.

The Order will prohibit vehicles to such an extent and at such time as indicated signs on site. The Road will be re-opened at 17:00 on Tuesday 14th May 2024 as stated above.

Exemptions will be provided for any vehicle being used in connection with the event, emergency service vehicles, any person upon the direction of or with the permission of a police officer in uniform. Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction and access through the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS LEICESTER ROW, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to permit vehicular traffic to travel in both directions on Leicester Row thereby temporarily suspending the existing one way system (when signs are displayed on site).

The Order will come into effect from 07.00 hours on 10 May 2024 and is required to enable carriageway resurfacing and associated works on Light Lane to be undertaken safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 17th May 2024.

Diversion routes will be sign posted where appropriate and access to premises maintained wherever possible except when works is directly in front of a property.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS HERMITS CROFT, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Hermits Croft for its full length.

The Order will come into effect at 00.01 hours on Monday 20th May 2024 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to renew connections safely on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Thursday 30th May 2024.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Hermits Croft

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS WALL HILL ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Wall Hill Road, Coventry.

The Order would come into effect from 0700 hours on 19 May 2024 for remedial works to take place safely

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 28 May 2024.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to the closed section Wall Hill Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS SALT LANE AND LITTLE PARK STREET COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on the said roads as detailed in the Schedule.

The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Sunday 19th May 2024 and is required to allow Coventry City Council to carry out Highway improvement works.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Wednesday 29th May 2024.

Schedule
Phase 1 – 19th May and Phase 2 – 28th-29th May

• Salt Lane closed from its junction with Little Park Street to outside the rear of no 9 Little Park Street. Approx 100m.

• Little Park Street closed from its junction with St Johns Street to its junction with High Street.

• Little Park Street Closed North Bound only from its junction with New Union Street to its junction with St Johns Street.

• Salt Lane to allow two-way traffic from its junction with Greyfriars Lane to the rear of 9 Little Park Street.

• Greyfriars Lane one way to be reversed from its junction with Barracks Way to its junction with Salt Lane

• No left turn from Salt Lane onto Greyfriars Lane.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to the said roads.
