What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024
LOWER HONEYDON LANE, HONEYDON 24 – 019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Lower Honeydon Lane Honeydon outside The Old Dance Hall.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate a new water supply and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 18:00hours from 20th May 2024 to 22nd May 2024

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Lower Honeydon Lane, Cadbury Lane, Bushmead Road.

The reverse route applies.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 20th May 2024, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Anglian Water Tel: 08457 145 145.

LITTLE STAUGHTON ROAD, COLMWORTH 24 – 011

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Little Staughton Road Colmworth.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate install air valve on water main and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 18:00 hours from 20th May 2024 to 22nd May 2024

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Little Staughton Road, Bolnhurst Road, St Neots Road, Kimbolton Road, New Road.

The reverse route applies.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 20th May 2024, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Anglian Water Tel: 08457 145 145.

NEWNHAM STREET, BEDFORD 24 – 13

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Newnham Street Bedford.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate overhead cabling and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:30 to 15:30 hours from 2nd June 2024

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Newnham Street, Rothsay Place, Rothsay Road, Castle Road.

The reverse route applies.

BROADMEAD ROAD, STEWARTBY 24 – 036

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Broadmead Road Stewartby .

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate the annual bridge inspection and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 23:00 to 11:00 hours from 8th June 2024 to 9th June 2024

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Woburn Road, Green Lane, Stewartby Way, Broadmead Road.

The reverse route applies.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 8th June 2024, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
