St Chads Queensway, Ladywood - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic To Facilitate Routine Tunnel Maintenance Works
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED) SECTION 14(2)
(ST CHADS QUEENSWAY, LADYWOOD) (17006271) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle to proceed along St Chads Queensway within Queensway and St. Chads Tunnels.
The temporary Order is required to Facilitate Routine Tunnel Maintenance Works in Safety.
An alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be signed on site.
Access to frontages will be maintained as necessary.
These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
The Order will come into operation on Sunday 19th May 2024 and will remain in force for a period of 10 weeks or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
