Union Street - Temporary Road Closure For Gas Main Upgrade Works

Temporary Closure of Union Street
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Union Street - from the junction with Church Street to the junction with Redcliff Street. A total distance of 137 metres.
This Order will enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out gas main upgrade works.
The Order becomes effective on 9th May 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 13th May 2024 and last until 7th June 2024 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 26 days.
