What is happening?

DUDLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) DUDLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL 

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF RUTION STREET AND STICKLEY LANE, LOWER GORNAL) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council have made an Order, the effects of which will be the temporary closure of Ruiton Street/Stickley Lane, Lower Gornal, from Five Ways Island to Holloway Street. The purpose of the restrictions is to safely facilitate carriageway reconstruction works on or near the affected roads. 

The Order will come into force on Thursday 16 th May 2024 and the works are anticipated to be completed on Tuesday 21 st May 2024. 

The Order may remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. Diversions for all vehicular traffic shall be via: Five Ways Island, Robert Street, Jews Lane, Kent Street, Hill Street, Duke Street, Lawnswood Road, Thornleigh, Kennedy Crescent, Wood Road, Bird Street, Brook Street, Summer Lane, and Five Ways Island. Access to frontages and for emergency services will be maintained where safe to do so. Any queries on the temporary restrictions imposed, should be made on (01384) 815453.
