ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in accordance with Regulation 7 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 in that the following restrictions will continue to be in force on the U6038 Angerton Moor Cottage Junction to Marlish Junction Hartburn in the County of Northumberland.
Temporary Byway Open to All Traffic:-
A temporary byway open to all traffic closure has continued to be in force and all users will be prohibited to use the U6038 Angerton Moor Cottage Junction to Marlish Junction Hartburn for its entire length in the County of Northumberland. (“the Byway Open to All Traffic”).
There is no alternative route available.
This Order came into force on the 8th May 2024 and will remain in force until the 8th November 2024.
Access will be given to residents, businesses, pedestrians and equestrians.
The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council due to the likelihood of danger to the public due to severe deep ruts, flooding, severe irroration to the riverbank causing diesel spillage to seep into the pond which contains protected species. The road which goes through the river as a crossing point is now at a very dangerous depth which is a severe danger to pedestrians and vehicles attempting to cross.
